The Christ consciousness is my way of excepting Christ' spirit for it all starts with our mind and then your spirit in how you read his Word. Word in, spirit out. Otherwords you read his Word and that goes to your mind to study it and each one of us has their own experiences. Jesus the man, Christ is God or HIS presents in us when we except his WORD for ourselves. But Christ is ever growing in us day by day.

Positive thinking bringing about reality. All I can say I have experienced that in my own life. Laws of Attraction. The book Think and Grow Rich. For example I use to be very negative about life and that negativity only pushed alot of people away. Then over time understanding this reading scripture and self help books I started seeing being positive brought people into my life and made more friends and greater opportunities have come my way. I believe both books Laws of Attraction and Think and Grow Rich are based from scripture or it's foundation. As a man thinks so his he. If I think I can I can if I think I can't I can't. I chose I think I can and have just from my own life experience.

I wasn't raised in a church but Christianity not as a whole is not falsehood definitely not. And not all pastors and teachers are ignorant. I base this solely on Christian extremist and everyone knows who they are and don't represent Christianity as a whole. For Jesus Christ is love not hateful toward others. Extremist are the falsehood not Christianity. They give Christianity a bad name as if it's falsehood. A better way of putting it, if no one ever read the Holy Bible for they would look at the extremist as representing Christianity as a whole. They would look at them as complete fools preaching their hate driving many away from excepting Christ' teachings in what true love is toward others.

Re: You cannot "speak things that are not as though they are"

No problem. I'm glad you came back.

Here's my problem. What you describe is not remotely similar to Christianity. You use bits and pieces of scripture, but seem to ignore the rest.
Here are my questions for you:
- Where do you get the notion of a "Christ consciousness"?

- Where do you get the idea that our positive thinking can bring about reality?

- On what basis do you say that Christianity has falsehoods or that pastors are ignorant?

Re: You cannot "speak things that are not as though they are"

Scott, my apology I was having a bad day.

The point of my last post was having the Christ consiousness. It's not so much speaking things into existenace, but how a person thinks and the thoughts they care to mind determines what can be created. Christ is having wisdom, knowledge and understanding in how things work and one can manifest ideas from ones mind into reality. It won't happen over night, but with patience ideas if for good can manifest themselves in our world thus what comes to mind inventions. They started simply from an idea, a thought. Now is this the same as speaking things into the world? Debatable, but similar in processing ones thoughts from either a negative thought or a positive one determines the outcome.

The bible say's my people perish for lack of knowledge and alot of Christians lack. I never claim the label Christian for myself but do claim I am a son of God as we all are son's and daughters. Christianity as a whole does have it's falsehoods but it's simply because the way scripture is taught by a Pastor or teacher of the word as they are ignorant and don't care to go deeper into scripture.

Thanks for the opportunity to post my thoughts it is a good discussion.

Re: You cannot "speak things that are not as though they are"

If you would like to post a reasoned critique, that would be great. We all need to read it again and again, choosing to throw out whatever preconceived notions we have about it should we find something that goes against it. The word of God must always outweigh our own traditions.

Having said that, I'm sorry that you have fallen into the heresy that says that our speech "brings to this natural realm what He promised." Yes, I said "heresy," because it is not supported by the Bible, and is little more than "sacred" witchcraft.

At the risk of self-promotion, allow me to invite you to read my 7-part (so far) series, "The Capped Idol of Copeland-Hagin," on my own blog, Consider †his!. You can start at http://conthis.blogspot.com/20....
My God is powerful enough to remain in control, without my help. I am blessed because He chooses to involve me in His work. My speech or lack thereof doesn't change His abilities one whit.

Re: You cannot "speak things that are not as though they are"

I do not beleive these people are reading the same Word of God as we are Joe! They need to read it again, but to remember who God is. He is God today as He was Then!!!! My bigger point was that if we
see design in the one, then we clearly ought to see design (and
therefore a designer) in the other.

As to your point though, why wouldn't you expect God to put some detail
in his craftsmanship? When you create things, are you merely
utilitarian, or do you put some pride into the details to add elegance or aesthetics, or simply because you want to express yourself?

I really liked the discussion about the costumes. For 18 years, I lived in a big city and in a safe neighborhood. In fact it was so safe that parents all over the city would drop their kids in the neighborhood to trick or treat. The costumes were gory and about 200 kids would stop by the house. Some years, I opened the door, but most years, I kept the lights off cause it was too much for me to visually handle.Other years, I would have harvest parties at my home for my kids and the neighbor kids so that I was engaging with my neighbors but not the whole city! Now I live in a small town where the costumes look like your picture above and I actually have Fun and it gives me such joy to give out candy. It reminded me of how fun it was to dress up and get tons of candy when I was a kid and it gave me hope that not every place in the U.S. looks the same for Halloween. Do what you have to do, but it is a holiday that can build bridges with your neighbors and love their kids.

Re: You cannot "speak things that are not as though they are"

After 19 years in the Word of Faith movement, and only 18 months out of it, i concur and agree entirely that the erroneous stuff they pour out of their mouths is poison. Having experienced a sort of death because of it, i can say with full assurance - YOU ARE 100% RIGHT!Because of their teaching i gagged my own concerns about the herecies for a long time and swalloed a bucket load of rubbish because as you so well put it, they "cut n paste" scripture. I now see what happened all too clearly, they took the gospel, edited it (cut n pasted bits together) and created "ANOTHER GOSPEL" and with it preached ANOTHER JESUS... wont take you long to find the truth when you consider this...A TEXT WITHOUT A CONTEXT IS A PRETEXT.
This is a good piece of writing. Though, it seems I am rather late getting to it. I've seen tithing taught as a requirement for Christians and as what God requires to bless us. I've even heard that money is cursed if not tithed. Thankfully, the Gospel truth is that tithing is not a requirement for Christians but was for Old Testament Israel.
